Love it or hate it, I think Dirt Girl World is one of the most fascinating kids gardening programmes on TV - I watch it for the organic gardening tips!* Check out the rocking chickens too...
I've seen that some parents find the animation disturbing, but it is all part of the attraction - you know something's not quite right, but you don't know what...and then it hits you. Even the kids said "how have they done that to her face?!"
* However, as a Newbie gardener learning from a Kids TV show (!) I mistakenly left some big, fat grubs in my soil because Grubby is so cute and lovable on Dirt Girl World, I presumed Grubs were Garden Goodies, like worms! Turns out they are Garden Baddies *oops*
I'm a mom of an autistic child who is still working on giving her eyes a voice when she communicates. when she watches this show their faces call out for notice. the way the mouth and eyes agree with what the mouth is saying is just wonderful. dirt girl has surprise eyes, blushing eyes, guessing eyes, sassy eyes, thinking eyes, proud eyes, laughing eyes, eyes that investigate and on and on.
What?s my prayer concerning my child's exposure to dirt girl world? that it will introduce her further to the power of eyes that influences, and express themselves according to what it is she?s wanting the rest of the world to understand about what it is she has to share with us. Dirt girl makes it clear that the entire face is important when communicating to others. IT GREAT!
I need to buy these DVDs{smiling}

DIRT GIRL MERCHANDICE by: Kathryn
I am a Grandma, looking for Dirt Girl Merchandice to buy, for my grandson who is one year old and who stops dead in his tracks to watch this show and who will come running from another room to see, if he hears the commercial play for the theme song. Where can I buy music or video shows ?

Dirt Girl is attractive but, she gives a good by: Anonymous
I watch her shows to just sit there and gaze at the tele, wondering how she really looks in real life as a person. She has to be cute, scrubby and there is the weevil, and HAY MAN, HE KICKS SOME SERIOUS DIRT. HAY MAN, IS A COOL IDEA AND HE PLAYS A HUMOROUS PART OF THE PROGRAM AS WELL. ALL IN ALL IT IS A CUTE SHOW ASIDE FROM THE CHARACTERS, I FIND IT ENTERTAINING, RESOURCEFUL, AMUSING AND IT TEACHES KIDS WHAT IS RIGHT INSTEAD OF THE WORSENING TELEVISION SHOWS THAT ARE OUT THERE! IT IS AN EASY 7+ RATTING. SOME PEOPLE PROBABLY WILL TALK DOWN ABOUT IT CAUSE, IT DOESN'T SHOW WHAT THEY FEEL IT SHOULD SHOW OR, TEACH ASIDE FROM WHAT YOU ALREADY TEACH. YOU TEACH AND TELL THE WORLD THE GOOD SIDE OF LIVES TELEVISION AND THAT TV DOESN'T ALL HAVE TO BE CURUPT BUT, YA KNOW WHAT, YOU AREA ALL DOING A FINE JOB.
i FIND IT FUN, FUNNY HUMOROUS AND TEACHING AS WELL AS THE TEACHING'S YOUR PROGRAM SHOWS WHILE IT TELLS WHAT IS WHAT AND WHAT TO DO.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

I don't find it at all creepy, it's fun and it's different. And I love the Earth Friendly feel to it.

LOVE LOVE DIRTGIRL! by: Anonymous
This show bring back fond memories of my favorite childhood show 'THE BUGALOOS'. I am just in love with the animation and also the focus on gardening and environmental issues. It was just recently added to 'SPROUT' (a childrens TV channel here in the US) on Earth Day, 2010....
This show is A+ in my book, and we watch daily!
